This is straight from the back room - in that I was sitting in the back of the room when it was discussed.Compassion plans to launch its official company blog in the very near future. It's going to coincide with a BIG blogging trip my colleague (that's a post-graduate word, right?), Tom, is hosting.
He's taking about a dozen influential Christian bloggers to Uganda to see Compassion's ministry first-hand, to let them see the impact Compassion's programs have on the lives of children in poverty.
Our friend with the Ragamuffin Soul will be going, as will Shaun "Shlog" Groves. A few other folks who'll be on the tarmac to UG include:
- a "distressed" Shannon (read why her comfort zone is getting blown to smithereens),
- Flowerdust
- BooMama
- and Compassion tag-a-longs, and I say that with a bit of envy - like Kat, Brian Seay and Spence Smith
But this post isn't about Compassion's blogging trip to Uganda, its about Compassion's soon-to-be born company blog.
If you have ideas for a good name, post 'em at Compassion's MySpace page. Or if you're too lazy to click there, I'm sure a comment here may reach the right people.

I'll have to keep an eye on some of these blogs when the trip is in progress...what an awesome opportunity! As for the Compassion company blog name, nothing comes to mind right off, but I'll think on it.
Glad to know I'm not the only one with Blog envy. :-) Thanks for the list of bloggers going on the trip. I can't wait to read all about it.
